Vegas!!!

Vegas was sooo much fun! I usually don't like Vegas, but I went with a ton of fun girls for Caroline's bachelorette. Now I know why they always use that cliche, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. hahah! Fun fun. I wish I took the day off. I want to sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

STRESS STRESS STRESS!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I feel like a single mom with two kids! And of course one income, full time work, full time school, stupid errands, shitty health (I've had 3 migraines in the past two weeks), job interviews, cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning, and trying to juggle everything at once while keeping sane when all these stupid little things come up. Then of course, you have to slap on the 2-hour commute I do everyday. I loooveee traffic! Ugh, I was in tears tonight... I think just from being so tired and hungry, just really got to me today.

I have barely eaten dinner the past few days. I'm so tired. I have homework due and I have to finish a bunch of stuff before I even get to that tonight. I'm sooo hungry! SOOO HUNGRY. And everyone knows that a hungry Joan is a cranky Joan + stresssss!!!!!!

HELP! I need a personal assistant. You know Google has personal assistants for hire by the hour while you are at work? Something like $25/hour. Just for one day, I would like to sit on the couch and do NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! And have someone take care of me all day. Sigh. Thank Buddha for Ginger otherwise I would have lost my sanity ages ago. (Or maybe I already have.)

Had a follow-up for a job interview today in another department. I have the job, but I think they are trying to jip me for money. Arghhh... I'm stressing about my job situation right now (when am I not?)

Btw, I'm going to Vegas tomorrow for Caroline's bachelorette. PHEW!!! I hope we hit the pool tomorrow so I can lay down and do NOTHING!!! Then we go to Nobu for dinner. I hope she likes it because the sea bass and miso black cod is GOOOODDD.

Ok, I better go and finish some shit. Then do homework. I pray to Buddha I am not up most of the night. I just need to get through tonight... and I will feel a lot better so I can think about TOMORROW. =P

ok /rant>

Arghhh... Monday

Tis not a good day. I had a migraine last night, and didn't sleep a wink. I feel like complete shit and my eyes are swollen like I got beat in the face. Today we had two temps in to do this BW (bitchwork) project that I am in charge of. Hopefully this goes smoothly.

In other news, I'm hoping for some major changes soon. Don't want to say yet in case I jinx it. Sigh, I'm tired and not in a good mood. I have a case of the "Muuuuoonndays." =( I have homework for my dumbass Finance class, and negotiations class from last week. I hope I can put those negotiation skills to use!

Hubby (Caroline's fiance) sent this to me. Brightened up my day for just a bit. Cute, huh?

Ok, back to a reality.

Arizona

Tonight, I went go-kart racing with my classmates. My best time was 25.79 seconds for 1/4 mile course. Not too great but at least I beat some guys. Woot woot! Team building, baby! I thoroughly enjoy my week trips for school to hang out with classmates and get away from boring ass work.

I'm hungry. I want some Indian food. Charles says I've got some serious "curry-fever" lately. Ummm, naan and curry! Okay, good night.

"I got stuck!" traveling

Remember all my "I got stuck" photos? It all started in AZ about 1.5 years ago, so now I can't stop taking pictures like that when I travel.

Here's a small snippet of getting stuck. Can you tell where I am? Anyone who guesses it right gets a free happy meal.

Here is something similar, except in dance/video mode. (Thanks, Luigi)

This is what we should all be doing with our precious time. =D

By the way, I am in Phoenix, AZ right now for school. Pointe South Mountain is a HUGE resort with 10 pools, a water park, golf course, and five restaurants (all of which I have not eaten at). Raf is here for work to visit hospitals. We have been driving to Scottsdale to eat delicious foodie food.

Babysitting

At work today, I helped babysit my friend, Charles' (in the IS dept) Pomeranian, BooBoo. That is her on the right. As you know, I'm not a big small dog fan, but she's really friendly and didn't yap at all. She was like a stuffed animal; she just laid on my lap all day while I was working. =)

Another guy in IS brought in his cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel + Poodle mix) Kiara. She was extremely sweet as well. I don't have a picture of her yet.

I noticed I know quite a few guys with frou frou dogs, and quite a few girls with big dogs. AHHAHAH!

Being a doggie babysitter is quite nice, especially at work.

Weddings... triathlon

Life has been pretty uneventful ever since I got back from Europe. Mostly because of working at a deadend job. But anyway, Rafael and I did end up driving to Rancho Palos Verdes for a wedding of a family friend at the Trump Golf Resort on July 15, 2006. Unfortunately, we were late to the ceremony. We made it just in time to see that the ceremony was over. Stupid L.A. traffic. L.A. sucks! Anyway.

Here is Cynthia in her second dress of the evening, Ryan, me, and Rafael

In other news, this past weekend was Rafael's first Vineman Ironman 70.3 in Sonoma County. Details and photos can be seen here. Good times in Santa Rosa. Other than my horrific allergies, I had a good time despite waiting around for 6 hours. I enjoyed walking/driving around the area. Nature, wineries, lots of trees. Pretty relaxing actually.

Triathlon rules always say "NO DOGS ALLOWED." But at the SJIT, there were a million dogs. Didn't want to chance it here since we were pretty far from home. Well, I only saw 1 million BIG BIG FURRY CUTE DOGGIES EVERYWHERE! I'm bringing Ginger to all Rafael's triathlons from now on.

During Rafael's bike leg, I decided to check out a local coffee shop in Guerneville called the Coffee Bazaar. As I was waiting in the 20 minute line, there was a girl there asking each person unenthusiasticly, "can I get a drink started for you?" As she went down the line of a few people, it was finally my turn. But I got a "how You doin?" HAHAHAHHA! With my short hair, baseball cap, no makeup, and sports attire, I must have looked a little butch? I need to grow my hair out. =P Anyway, after eating a lovely tuna sammich, sipping some hot cocoa, and reading my Paris book, I decided to walk back to the car to drive to Windsor to see Raf finish up his bike, and start his run. As I was walking down the road, another old local guy with scraggly long brown hair says to me "It's hard not to notice all these beautiful girls. You guys are everywhere." Ummm, hmmm... I think my ASU cap and the Vineman t-shirt I borrowed from Raf was giving me my mojo that day. Speaking of which, triathlons should be a good place for single people to go. You know almost everyone will be fit with nice bodies. Plus, they are separated by age group so you can go look where your preferred age range is. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH! I shall suggest that to my single friends. =)
