Went to hangout with "les gars" (the boys) from the gastro restaurant before I head back to California. I was super tired today, but figured I could have a drink, hang out for a bit, then head home. Well one drink turned into three and we ended up bar-hopping then clubbing in Pigalle. It was so much fun !
Here's Jeremy and Marzio taking their first shots of tequila. HAHHA

Here we are around 5AM. Couple of les gars were hungry and got a greasy schwarma and fries. Ummmm.
Ok, for you NorCalians, imagine a road trip down to L.A. 5 hours right? Tons of rest stops usually filled with a diner, a McDonald's, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, whatevers. Fast food crap. And usually open all day, really late at night, or possibly all night.
Well in France, the restaurants and small cafeteria's close like normal restaurant hours. Because you know if you are on a road trip, you ONLY eat between 12h00 - 14h00 and 20h00 - 23h00. Yah, so Nina and I weren't aware of this. On our trip to and from Bretagne, we pretty much ate crap. But we LUCKED OUT once when we found a McDonald's that was open past 14h30 !
Check out all the delicious crap we ingested.
Cranky and camera shy
So the salads and fruit weren't that bad... but you can imagine the rest. =P Especially when you are tired and starving.
Oh yah, and the rest stops with only bathrooms have what they call Turkish toilets. (Or Chinese !)
HAHAHHAHAH
Here is me driving right outside of Paris.
I got totally f'in lost IN La Defense so Nina had to take over. Thanks, Nina!
I started this blog to write about my first trip to Europe. Without this trip, I would have never pursued my dream of becoming a cuisinière. This blog then progressed into an illustration of my life as a student at ESCF - Ferrandi in Paris. Now I am off to the real world of cuisiniers. Vive la France!
Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses drone on about about mission statements.
